FRED MEZZINA, PRESIDENT

 PRIDE IN LEADERSHIP

I started working at a young age driving a truck for a company with a Union contract.  After many years of driving both locally and over-the-road, I was put into the construction field working on jobs both large and small.  Because of my dedication to my job and to the Union, I was asked to be the shop steward on a very large construction site.  When that job was completed, I was made Chief Organizer and Business Agent of my Union.

Because I started at the bottom, I can appreciate how hard it is for the working man and woman to provide adequately for their families.

For that reason, when I became President of INTERNATIONAL UNION OF DISTRICT 55 I pledged to do everything humanly possible to protect the rights of each and every Union member.  I have tried to secure decent wage increases, make sure each member has a safe work environment and always remained accessible to any member day or night that needed to speak to me.

It has been my pleasure to serve as President of this fine Union and I will continue to dedicate my time to making each and every member proud to belong to INTERNATIONAL UNION OF DISTRICT 55, ALLIED AND INDUSTRIAL WORKERS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA.

VICE PRESIDENT                               NICHOLAS JULIANO
RECORDING SECRETARY               BARBARA MEZZINA
